To Wānaka we go

After 9 years together, we are so excited to be getting married in February. Returning back to New Zealand from London to celebrate with our nearest and dearest means so much to us.

Even more so, back to Wānaka, where we got engaged almost a year ago to the day of the wedding.

We have both grown up spending time with family here and of course a stone's throw away from Otago where we met.

The main event! Our ceremony will take place at Holy Family Catholic Church in Wānaka town. The ceremony will start at 2:30pm sharp.

After the ceremony we will head 10-minutes down the road to Akitū Vineyard. Cocktail hour will start amongst the vines, before we make our way to the marquee for dinner and dancing.

To end the weekend on a high, we would love one more opportunity to see all of our guests. This will be an optional and relaxed event, centered around a good old-fashioned Kiwi BBQ and some Bloody Marys.

Travel & Stay

GETTING TO WĀNAKA

Depending on where you are travelling from, the most common way to travel is to fly into Queenstown and drive over the Crown Range to Wānaka.

Rental cars and shuttle options are available from Queenstown.

We recommend staying in Wānaka town, this is where the ceremony and reception will take place.

Please make your own way to the Holy Family Catholic Church and arrive by 2:00pm. After the ceremony, we will transport all guests to Akitū Vineyard by bus, just a 10-minute drive down the road.

At the end of the night, we will return you to a central point in Wānaka. There will be two departure times available, please select your preferred option in the RSVP form below.

Limited parking is available at Akitū. If you would prefer to be a designated sober driver and drive yourself to and from the venue, please let us know via the form below.

WEDDING DAY TRANSPORT

Dress Code

The dress code is Summer Formal, with colour encouraged. To complement the beautiful landscape, it will be lovely to see everyone in bright and vibrant tones.

Ladies - think garden party chic. We will be on grass during cocktail hour, so please keep this in mind when choosing footwear.

Men - summer formal with ties, no tuxedos needed.

As a classic New Zealand summer goes, it may cool down in the evening so please bring a warmer layer.
